Still not listed after a year :(

Hi. New here so please bear with me if this is a reduntant question. I have been trying to get listed in DMOZ for about a year. I wait about 3 months between submissions and then try again. I have also emailed the editor to no avail. Many of the sub categories don't have an editor so I'm not sure if that's part of the problem.

If anyone can offer suggestions as to what else I can do, that would greatly be appreciated. My site is www.AllNaturalAlternatives.com and should be in the nutrition/dietary supplements category or somewhere in that area.

Regards,
Jay

The ODP does not list any independent representatives of multi-level marketing companies.

Thank you for the response, but I do see many listing in the directory for similar companies/products, including those selling my particular products (ie: http://www.iwr.com/becalmd/) which is listed under Shopping: Health: Nutrition: Dietary Supplements: Specialty Products

I also found http://www.shpinternational.com.au/ under Shopping: Health: Alternative

These are just 2 examples of sites that have distributorship opportunities like mine. My main interest to get listed under supplements not a home business venture.

Those sites are no longer listed in the directory (along with some others that I found during my travels).

We're not picking on you, the rule is that no individual representatives of multi-level marketing companies can be listed. Every now and then one slips past an unguarded editor, but we try to track them down and remove them.

Well, if that's the rule I thank you for clearing that up so I don't keep wasting my time, and yours, by submitting my site.

Have a good day.

Now THAT'S a refreshing attitude. Thanks for understanding.

I'm afraid we see more of the "In protest I shall not submit my site to every single top-level category" whines, and it makes us a bit cynical.

If you see more competitors that slipped through, please feel free to let us know -- e-mailing a meta or forum moderator is probably the best way.
