Question regarding sub-domains ...

I have tried to submit 2 sub-domains for my website, but was told that once the main domain is listed in DMOZ you can not get an additional listing for a sub-domain. Is this a new rule? I can see that there are clearly many sites listed in DMOZ where there are sub-domains listed as well. Are there specific requirements as to when a sub-domain is accepted?

My site has very differentiated sections and I am curious as to if I will be able to place the sub-domains in the appropriate sections of the DMOZ directory.

Thanks.

Subdomains are considered just like any other kind of deeplink. The submittal policy allows a site to be submitted to the ONE most appropriate category.

Additional listings are at the discretion of editors, under guidance of the editorial policies: "in exceptional cases" deeplinks are allowed.

Our experience is that this is not the sort of guidance that can be followed by webmasters. who without exception each consider their website exceptional.

Thanks for the quick response ...

My last question is for the current listing that Bellacor has in DMOZ.

Currently www.bellacor.com is listed in Shopping/Home and Garden/Furniture found at http://www.dmoz.org/Shopping/Home_and_Garden/Furniture/

I would like to make a change to the description as well as the category it is found in. I understand the process to do this (update listing link) ... but my question is why when I search in DMOZ on just the word Bellacor, does this site not get returned?

Is this common?

Thanks in advance.
