Submission check

Just wondering if my site (www.10000mb.com) has been looked at yet. I believe I added it a little over a month ago.

I am sorry, I thought it read not to put your domain name on the subject line. My error.

Anyway, I was just checking in with you guys about the status of my website. I put it under this category:
http://www.dmoz.com/Computers/Internet/Web_Design_and_Development/Hosting/1/

After checking around your dmoz.org site, I found the hosting area, and put it there because that is my main business.

It awaits review, along with over 3000 other sites, spread across the alphabetic categories.

Given the number of submissions, and the lack of editor activity in that area, I would suggest that you wait several months before enquiring again.

I'm sorry if this isn't the answer you wanted to hear. My only suggestion would be that if your business has a Regional focus, you also submit it to the corresponding category for the locality where your office is based.

However, to get listed there you would at least need the address of your office to appear on your web site. Doing this would in no way slow down, or jeopardise your chances of getting listed in the category about which you enquired.

I have been waiting as suggested. I noticed that a dmoz editor did stop by my site, so I decided to write:

http://editors.dmoz.org:8080/editors/editurl.cgi

and I did as you requested...add my address for perhaps a regional listing, so I am not sure if it was a regional editor or hosting in general.

Any word?

I've found a bit of a technical problem that's going to have to be resolved before I can say any more about your site. Don't worry, it doesn't seem to have been caused by anything you did, but it does mean we need to do some research before answering your questions. If you haven't heard anything in a few days, please post again or send me a private message.

We got that other problem out of the way, and I had a chance to look into yours. I'm afraid you're not going to be too happy with what I've found. Though I didn't make the decision, I may as well have since I'm in full agreement with it: We've decided not to list your site because it's a reseller of hosting. Even without that, I think the preponderance of affiliate content would be such that we wouldn't list the site.
