Submission dilemma

Hi all-

My question is when you are submitting a site can you submit only the main url of the site or urls of all the important pages on the site?

Thanks.

Main URL only. Deeplinks are the exception, not the rule.

Submit the site to the one best category.

A site should not normally have more than one listing in any one branch anyhow. A site is defined as one entity, whether it is all on one domain, or spread over several domains or subdomains.

For most cases the main URL only. There are exceptions, if for example the main site sells Perfume, and pages within the site offer custom written birthday cards, this might be ok. But if your site sells perfume, and you want to submit a page for Cologne and a page for Oils to two separate categories, that would not be ok.

Each case would be judged on it's own merit, and would depend on a number of things, including the category and the site. However, it's considered an exception, not the norm.

If the site is in more than one language, it could be ok, but ask first.

If it's in more than one language submit to each language. It's OK. You don't have to ask first.

As for the extra urls. I'll echo the others. In most cases we list the main url only. We certainly won't list more than one in the same category.

Don't submit all the important pages. Just make them accessible from your main page. If you have a page that you think might be relevant in a different category, you could submit the extra url, but only if you think it would make an important contribution to the category.
