Hello,
We are a little confused and hope someone can enlighten us.

We submitted our website http://www.wigsonline.com.au to the http://dmoz.org/Shopping/Health/Beauty/Hair_Care/Wigs/ section although we have never received any emails or anything in regards to our submission.

Is there any way to contact a the "Editor" of the category to make sure that it was submitted correctly or even to see if the category has a current editor ?

Thanks again advance

Regards
Glenn

When you submit a site, there is a confirmation screen that tells you that it has been accepted. This means it has been added to the 'unreviewed' area for the category and thus there is no need to do anything more.

If you look at the category on the screen and scroll down to the bottom there will be a field that will hold either an editor name or, as in the category you mention the phrase 'Volunteer to be an editor for this category'.

Irrespective of whether there is a named editor or not, when a site is reviewed depends on one of many editors choosing to look at that category and spending sufficient time there. There are many editors who are able to edit in that category whenever they have time to edit. The fact that there is a named editor cannot be relied on for expecting a faster review.

You should be warned that Shopping is a busy (and spammy) area so our best advice to you is, having submitted your site, to forget about whether it gets listed and continue to promote your sites in other ways.

We don't get into specifics about any particular site otherwise we would be overwhelmed by inquiries from every webmaster asking the same question every day :)

To add to what eric-the-bun has said, I would reiterate that since you suggested the site already, there is no need to resuggest it again. Multiple suggestions of the same (or related) sites will only slow the review processes further. In extreme cases that could result in being labeled as spamming and have negative effects on the listing of the site.

Hope that helps.
