Hi All
Got a couple questions for you so that i can make sure a site fits the bill as this may be borderline.
1) affiliate links..
Do you have issues with using google adsense? also this site tracks "out clicks" to other web sites. They are used as a means of site success and advertising strength.
2) You have removed this site in the past for lack of content and to may varied email submissions.
This site now has more unique content with new things being added all the time. Though i may be slightly bias but this site offers more than some of those in the category... http://www.dmoz.org/Regional/Europe/United_Kingdom/Business_and_Economy/Motoring/Directories/.

What are you comments?

  1. Adsense is not considered unless the site only exists to feed it. If the adsense is just a side note to the content (which is what editors are looking for), there isn't a problem. Editors are taught to block out the junk and look at the content, so as long as the content is lost amongst the junk its again not an issue.
  2. If a site was removed for being low content, it would be given a fresh evaluation if re-suggested. If a site was removed due to spamming (you have to have worked very had to accomplish this) its not likely to be relisted, but to my knowledge we don't stop you from re-suggesting it again. I wouldn't recommend more than one more re-suggestion in any case.

Hi
I really dont want to go over old ground but the reasons for removal were lack of content and multiple submissions to the odp fto various categories.
For the lack of content i can and have done and continue to do something about, but multiple submissions i unfortunately cant, do you recommend unique email to submit to guard against multiple submissions?
Have you looked at the links in this category http://www.dmoz.org/Regional/Europe/United_Kingdom/Business_and_Economy/Motoring/Directories/ recently? its not for me to say but a clear out may be needed.

The email address used when suggesting sites is irrelevant. Multiple site suggestions consist of suggesting the same URL, regardless of which email address is used.

Thanks for the heads up about the category. Nobody has edited in that category for a long time except for automated tools removing dead links, so it would probably benefit from a general re-reviewing.

Thank you for asking. We get a lot of spam but manage fairly well to keep it out of the directory - but I won't give you any details (because the spammers read these threads also ;) )

No, you can't get any such advice. We don't provide that service here.

In addition, I admit to being mystified: a few years ago you were told in detail exactly why your various car sites would not be listed in dmoz.org, and that since you have threatened legal action, the dmoz.org volunteers are unable to communicate with you in any way about that family of sites. Yet you keep returning about once or twice a year to ask if it's ok to suggest them again.

We have given you sone generally applicable answers, but if you will persist in asking about your car sites, you'll have to accept that we persist in giving you the same responses. Please do not start any new threads or register any new user accounts to ask about them again. Thank you.
