I am taking over some of the SEO administration at my company. I would like to submit our site to DMOZ but I am not sure if has been submitted before, and if so, to what category. I don't want to resubmit if it is already pending review.

The site is http://www.bottlenose-wine.com/, and I unfortunately cannot know what category, if any, it might have been submitted to.

I appreciate any information available, I'm just trying to save everyone time by avoiding multiple submissions for the same URL.

I only can see that a suggestion in http://dmoz.org/Business/Food_and_Related_Products/Beverages/Wine has been rejected.

Unless the previous SEO was a real persistent Spam-I-am type of fellow, you waste less of everyone's time just by submitting the site according to the submittal policies. One extra submittal won't push you over the edge.

Thanks, pvgool. I will make sure it gets submitted to a more appropriate category. However your links for reasons for rejection are to editors-only areas, and while I'm working on that avenue, I'm not there yet! Are there reasons for rejection other than what's found at http://dmoz.org/add.html?

Thank you for the corrected link, dogbows - I believe the original submission was rejected because of an inappropriate category, not because it violated any of the guidelines on the NotInclude list. I've resubmitted the site to http://dmoz.org/Business/E-Commerce/Developers/Sectors/ and am hopeful that the site will be accepted there. Thanks again for all your help.

There aren't really ANY reasons for rejection. There are only reasons for listing. Well, only one reason: unique informational content.

The thing is, there's only one thing to do with a site that doesn't have a reason to list.
