Submission Problem will pay in toothbrushes

I currently go to a dentist locally that has a website and who has paid me in kind to all the free tooth-brushes I want to see that his site gets looked after in the DMOZ directory. (Actually, he wasn't even aware of DMOZ until I told him about it

After reviewing the logs on the following cat, I've notice the only activity in over a year has been modifications or deletes but no adds.

Well, there's a submission for that site from the end of May this year in there, but it hasn't been reviewed yet. The cogs turn slowly in the Shopping tree due to the amount of spam people inflict on us, and unfortunately this affects legitimate submissions.

That's a bad thing for an editor to be saying, even if you're joking. A very Bad Thing.

As you're an editor, you shouldn't have to be told how and where a local business could get a relatively quickly-reviewed second listing.

The last two posts sound so glummy and I'm a little confused

He's a _local_ dentist, right? does the website have information about his local professional activities?

Actually, that's an interesting story. Dr. Alan and his family were recently embezzeled and forced to shut down from their local practice by their theif receptionist. She has skipped state and they work a dental lab outfit from their home to provide for their large family. It's a sad story and that's why I'm trying to help out. Besides what does a local dental practice have to do with someone who wants to have a small website on the side solely focused on teeth whitening systems? Unfortunately, all this talk still hasn't got his site a decent review

As an editor you should know that
1) you may not use your status as an editor to favor any websites
2) postings at resource-zone will never have any influence on our review proces

Everyone will have to wait until an editor will find time to review the site.

I'm not an editor over the dental category and that should be the point of this discussion - nobody is. I've identified a problem in my first post that I noticed that there are a substantial amount of sites waiting in review for not only teethbleachingkits.com submitted back in May but sites that have been in "unreview" status for over a year.

You guys are beating up on me a small time editor with your boredom and openless minds of compassion. There is no conflict of interest here other than I mentioned to a website owner that they should get their site listed in DMOZ.org, a wonderful directory that volunteer editors like myself take the time to review and list sites and enjoy doing so because they want to make a better searching environment.
What then is the purpose of this forum?

The forum is here so that submitters can find out the status of their submissions. It is not here to speed up the review of those submissions.
