Submission problems (help!)

To whom it may concern,

I am trying to submit a site to a category that seems to have no editor (although one is listed), and am therefore worried that it will never be included. The category in question is:

http://dmoz.org/Business/Consumer_Goods_and_Services/Jewelry/Appraisals/.

The editor of this category is listed as "barbos".

I noticed that there was no editor present by attempting to email barbos my queries, then receiving the following:

"Error - No such editor barbos"

For 8 months on a monthly basis I have submitted my details to this category, and am still not listed. I'm sure this is because there is noone the DMOZ end reviewing my application, even though one is listed. Any help or advice you could give on this would be truly appreciated.

Yes the editor listed in that category had timed out. I just forced the page to update, so he won't appear there any more when the public version updates.

Don't worry however, that doesn't mean that nobody is able to review submissions there: any editor listed in a higher-level cat, as well as editors with special privileges (all editalls and metas, among others), can do it. That doesn't however make us able to give you a time-to-list, could be tomorrow or in several months.

Every time you submit, it moves your site to the bottom of the queue if the editor sorts by date. Your site is waiting for review and will be looked at eventually; I suggest that you do not submit again, but instead wait a month and then ask for an update of the status in the Submission Status forum here.
