I submitted my site in approximately December 2002 to the above cat and as yet it has not been submitted. If at all possible could you please tell me what is happening with my submission.

Thanks for taking the time to respond but, I have had a look at the cat that you state in your reply and I am unable to find my listing. I wonder if at all possible would you be able to recheck my submission and let me know if there could be any reason why I would not be able to see my listing in the cat. Obviously my submission has been moved from the original cat that I applied to for some reason.

You'll have to excuse Neil - he's probably drunk <img src="/images/icons/wink.gif" alt="" /> He intended to say your site is in the unreviewed queue of that category and has been since that date. There's over 100 other sites awaiting review though.

Thanks Richard for clearing that up and no worries Neil. I guess all I can do is enquire about the length of the queue again in about a months time. 100 other sites awaiting review <img src="/images/icons/confused.gif" alt="" /> wonder how long that will take

The good news is that the category was recently edited. Please ask again in a month or so if you don't see it listed.

Well, here's the thing, your site really isn't selling anything (it's a collection of digital images, mostly of cars, with some motorcross). That's not a bad thing at all, but it means that it doesn't belong anywhere in the Shopping/ hierarchy. Shopping/ is for sites that sell things to people.

The question then becomes, "Where does your site belong?". As far as I can tel, your site is primarily recreational in nature -- you like cars and motorcycles, and want to share your pictures of them.

I don't know of any category for image galleries of both autos and motorcycles, but most of your content is about autos. As a result, your site has been moved to http://dmoz.org/Recreation/Autos/Image_Galleries , where it is awaiting review with fewer than 75 others.

I am enquiring about the progress of my site submission, it's been 14 months since I last enquired and nearly 2 years since I made my submission. The last time I enquired my site was waiting in the http://dmoz.org/Recreation/Autos/Image_Galleries queue so I am not sure whether it is still in that queue or has been moved again.

Firstly, thanks for re-using your existing thread - it makes our efforts so much easier .

Yes, it's still awaiting review in Recreation/Autos/Image_Galleries.

It's also awaiting review in Sports/Motorsports/News_and_Media (to where it was moved recently from the pool at Arts/Genres/Automotive) and UK/Recreation_and_Sports/Sports/Motorsport.

We can't predict when these might be processed. If it hasn't been listed in 6 months, please ask again. There's no need to make further submissions.
