Submission question

I submitted my site about 8 months ago and it has not been accepted. I've tried to be very patient because I was an editor many moons ago and I understand the challenges.

Now that status checks are no longer available, I've been in the dark. Since so much time has passed, should I consider resubmitting the web site? If not now when should I do this?

I could only assume it has either been rejected or burired under a mountain of other submissions.

FYI

Site: http://www.rentersinc.com
Catagory: http://dmoz.org/Regional/North_America/United_States/Business_and_Economy/Real_Estate/Rentals/

Thanks

We generally allow submitters such as your self the option of submitting second time without any penalty.

After all, stuff can happen.

Two submissions is generally the cut-off, and any more than that run the chance of being problematic.

Hope that helps.

Yes that does help, thank you.

However, is there a time period because I did submit once or twice before?

Unfortunately I didn't catch on the rules of submitting more than once. The rules were a bit more relaxed when I was an editor and so I just dove in, just like the old days.

It's unfortunate things have changed so much. Unethical practices has made it difficult for extremely valuable sites like mine to get recognized.

There are no hard and fast guidelines, and different editors offer different advice. A waitng period of a few months is not unreasonable, nor is one of a few weeks, since all one is really doing by resubmitting is reducing the already miniscule odds that a submissin error occurred.

Thanks again. I suppose I will resubmit and take my chances.

According to what I've read in the guidelines, the site would be a likely candidate to be accepted so maybe a mistake was made in the submission process. I consider having the single largest database of apartment listings in the nation to be unique and valuable content.

I guess we'll see.
