Submission Status

Hi,

I submitted my site http://www.ace-it-certifications.com and got a status on my submission by one of the moderators in this forum stating that

The submission has been received and is awaiting review.

What does this mean? Does this mean that my submission has been accepted and is just waiting for someone to post this on the DMOZ forum.

It has been almost a year now since my submission. If 2 years goes by and no one has looked at the submission. What are steps that I can do to get this site listed in DMOZ. Thank-You for your help.

As far as I can see, you've never gotten a status check on that particular site, just on your letters of resignation site.

It means the submission was received and it's waiting for someone to review it. That means it hasn't been accepted and hasn't been rejected -- nothing's been done with it at all. It won't be listed until someone gets around to reviewing it and decides to accept it.

We don't know when the site might be reviewed -- all you can do is wait, as you were told earlier. If it takes 2 years, it takes 2 years.

Please don't come back every couple of weeks to ask what you can do to get your sites listed faster. You've got the status of the suggestion and you may come back to this thread any time after 6 months from that date to get another status check.

There are still no steps that you can do to "get" a site listed.

You've made sure an editor can find the site when looking for sites that would help that category. That's all you can do...and that's all we need you to be able to do.
