I see that http://www.entersingapore.info/ has been submitted to many categories so far [and probably far more than the ones I've seen] and has been deleted from many from them. You need to stop submitting at once. Every extra submission is causing more work, and reducing any possible chances of you getting published. Each submission adds to your reputation as a spammer.

At this point take time out to read the forum FAQ http://resource-zone.com/forum/faq.php?

Next review the status request guidelines http://resource-zone.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=396

Then read the submission rules which you would have been asked to read each and every time you suggested your site. http://www.dmoz.org/add.html Perhaps in your rush to submit you neglected that. After reading that you should be able to answer the following questions:

1. How many categories should I submit to?

2. How many times should I submit my site?

3. How many pages of my web site should be submitted?

4. What are the consequences of ignoring the rules?

Finally, note that I'm only reporting the actions of editors so far on this site, and will not be reviewing your site. But I have some doubts whether it is acceptable to be listed in ODP at all. For further information read http://dmoz.org/guidelines/include.html#notinclude

Please also remember that you are required to wait a month from the time of your last submission before asking for a status request here.

Sorry for the unnecessary workload

Hi there,

I am very sorry for the workload I have created. I submitted my sites with the help of the "submitit" software from Microsoft and they recommend to submitt each page of the domain. As my sites are offering so much free info on different aspects of expatriate life in Asia, Singapore and Shanghai I thought I have to submit each page to different categories. This I have done using submit it but I thought I only submitted twice to the main categories for expat Shanghai and expat Singapore to dmoz.org. - obviously I used the software somehow wrongly (still trying to figure out what went actually wrong). I will stop submitting now but would be grateful to know, if there is a chance to be accepted at all after all that mess I created. I have worked on this information for more than 2 years now and would be devastated if it would not reach the target groups at all just because I did a mistake when using submit it. Thanks for your patience with all those who make your life difficult.....

Best regards,
Jacqueline

Strange. They couldn't have possibly ever read our Submission Guidelines if they're recommending doing that.

It's still to early for us to say. Come back here in a month and we'll be able to better advise you.

Hi
I managed to find out what went wrong. The submission process gives you three options to submit urls. The first two options would automatically show that the url has been submitted successfully. The third option (dmoz) links you to the dmoz site (where I actually read all the info!) - when you have submitted there you would be normally going back to the submit center of submitit - and there the successful submission does not show. You have to click another button (difficult to see) to get the submission process and date registered. I did not see that button..... (stupid!).

Then I went to the help desk which is saying:

"The Submission Report catalogs all the search engines and directories you have included in the submission process. It details the search engine, date of submission and whether the submission was a success. You can view the report online and/or have it e-mailed to you. If you see the word "failed" in the status box associated with a particular search engine, you should resubmit to the search engine."

As I did not see anything (not even the word "failed") and did not stumble over the fact that they distinguished between search engines and directories. I consequently submitted again to dmoz.

I will write to their customer service and hightlight the problem and hope they will improve the location of this extra button and also highlight in the help info that dmoz submissions must be registered in a different way than the other two options.

I hope that clarifies that I am not a spammer. I will come back to learn about the status end of August. Thanks.

Best regards
Jacqueline
