Our site (www.loantoolbox.com) trains several thousand loan officers, and loan officer education or training seems to best fit under the general category of

http://dmoz.org/Business/Financial_Services/Mortgages/

-- which isn't accepting submissions. Instead, I submitted it to

http://dmoz.org/Business/Financial_Services/Mortgages/Regional/United_States/

-- even though we have members in Canada and Australia. It's been months since I first submitted, and more than a month since I last TRIED to submit. Any word on what the problem is would be GREATLY appreciated.

It is not waiting where you mentioned, and doesn't seem to have been deleted from there.

It looks like it was submitted to two or more categories in the neighborhood of Business/Marketing_and_Advertising , and as a result may have accidentally deleted from Business/Marketing_and_Advertising/Salesmanship/Education_and_Training (which looks like much closer to the best first guess for the right category than either of the ones you mention).

There may be yet ANOTHER submittal waiting somewhere. It is hard for us to tell; our "chainsaw repetitious spam" tool doesn't leave tracks telling exactly where the one preserved submittal was.

At this point I don't know what to tell you. A new submittal is more than a little likely to suffer the same fate (head splattered by the whack-a-dup-corps), and I haven't a reasonable way of finding out whether it really is still a duplicate.

(You know, the submittal policies aren't there to repress the proleteriat; they are there to keep them from getting into predicaments like this.)

THANK YOU FOR THE REPLY! I had trouble finding what I considered a decent category, but other mortgage education companies are listed in the http://dmoz.org/Business/Financial_Services/Mortgages/ directory, so I think that's where I want to be.

Resubmitting it will just get it yanked automagically? What recourse do I have?

I even tried to become an editor, but was rejected, but didn't get a reason, so I don't know what to suggest to my supervisor, whom I suggested apply instead of me.
