Hi, I submitted my website a month ago - when might I get a listing or when might I hear if I have been successful...Peter

PS while I am in the appropriate category, my regional focus is Ireland - should I have done anything different?

I really am a bit of a dolt - you see I can not seem to find where I submitted the site - how do I finf it please - sorry if the answer is staring me in the face!

I'm sorry, Peter, but if you don't know we cannot provide the status. Perhaps it would be better if you resubmit the site to the one best category that you can find. Make a note of it, bookmark this thread, and return here for a status in 30 days.

Do you think you may have submitted to this category?
http://www.dmoz.org/Regional/Europe/Ireland/Wicklow/Localities/Greystones/
If not, then it might be a good place to submit.

Your mention of bookmark rang true - I have just found where I believe I submitted the site

does that now - help - can you help me find the submission status.

Now this may seem a really weird suggestion, but it might help dolts like me - could DMOZ not send an email on receipt of a URL submission, which tells us which directory we have submitted to?

I can't, but someone with permissions in that category will now be able to when they come along. However, since you are allowed one Topical submission and one Regional submission, then I suggest that you go ahead and suggest the site in the category that I linked to in my last post. Regional listings are based on where the business is located and not where it markets. It will not have any affect on the suggestion in the Business category, and you could possibly end up with two listings at some point.

And no, we do not do email notifications. It has been suggested many times in this forum, and there are many reasons why we will not do that. But if we did, I wonder Peter since you did not remember the bookmark, would you remember the email if it were sent?
