I submitted this site some months ago and have not yet seen it listed. I resubmitted my site to the same category and possibly to another category by mistake. I did not realize that duplicate submissions may cause my site not to be listed.

What happens next - do I need to resubmit if it has indeed been ignored.?

The suggestion has been received and is waiting review in that category. All you can do now is wait for an editor to review the site. If you do not see it listed in 6 months you may return for another status check.
