Submission status of www.learninitaly.com

Please let me know the status of www.learninitaly.com submitted to

1. http://dmoz.org/Arts/Photography/Education/Workshops_and_Tours/
2. http://dmoz.org/Arts/Visual_Arts/Education/Workshops_and_Tours/

I'm positive that the first category is one of the ones I submitted to, but the second one I'm less than 100% sure about. Hopefully you will still be able to tell me something about the application.

It is awaiting review in the first category, but not ht e second.

That seems right. We would not list it in both categories. Visual Arts is for Workshops and Tours that cover many Visual Arts and don't concentrate on any particular one. Photography is for those that focus on Photography. Photography is linked in Visual Arts. We don't list the sites twice.

If submitted to the second it would have been moved to the first anyway - as the category description states ==>

Never. It's in the queue, it should stay there until we list it or reject it. (Or perhaps be moved to another location for review there.)

If it's not listed by next June, you may post here to see if perhaps we have rejected it for some reason.

Hello again

It's been just over six months since I submiited www.learninitaly.com to the directory and after posting a question as shown here some months ago, I was in effect told to do nothing until more than a year later.

Naturally being my business I am curious to know if there is something else I can do rather than sit on my hands for a year. I have read a lot of material on different websites, and the one thing everybody seems to say is that if I have not received a rejection and not been added after three months, to write en email to the editor of the category in question. It appears that there is no editor to my category so I would be interested to know how the other sites get in there?

Everybody seems to be telling me to re-submit but obviously the people here are saying not to. Is there anything more you can tell me about my situation?

Who do you believe? People who don't know what they are talking about, or the editors of the directory you want to be included in?

Editors are discouraged from replying to webmasters' emails. It would have no effect on when your site is reviewed and is a waste of time. This forum is where you should ask questions about your site's status.
