It was deleted at that time, since you were submitting not the main site URL, but a page within the site, and it did not work.

Since you are already listed in three categories, I would also question whether that would have been allowed even if the URL had worked.

Thanks for the prompt reply. Our main business is data entry and I would like our Company listed in this category rather than the other three. Can you please let us know how to get listed under "DATA ENTRY". We do not mind our listing being removed from http://dmoz.org/Business/Business_S...tarial_Services_and_Virtual_Assistants/India/

Please advise how to achieve this.

I would suggest going to http://dmoz.org/cgi-bin/update.cgi?where=Computers/Consultants/Business_Systems/Document_Imaging and ask for the site to be moved to the other category.

It is more than one and half months since I requested for deletion of our entry in http://dmoz.org/Business/Business_S...tarial_Services_and_Virtual_Assistants/India/ and moving it to
http://dmoz.org/Business/Business_Services/Outsourcing/Data_Entry/

I would like to know the status of my request

Hmm... there's no evidence that an update request was ever received. Please resubmit your update request using the "Update URL" link in the category in which the site is currently listed.

I have (re) submitted my update request using the UPDATE URL link.

Please remove our listing from http://dmoz.org/Business/Business_S...tarial_Services_and_Virtual_Assistants/India/

and include it in

http://dmoz.org/Business/Business_Services/Outsourcing/Data_Entry/

I would be grateful if you could confirm the receipt of the request.

Thanks for the confirmation. What is the normal time within which these kind of request are taken care.

Also I am curious about one more thing: (I would not like to sound impertinent, at the same time would like to know how it is normally done)

Bobrat question our listing in more than 3 categories (see above).

www.sdpro.com was listed only in 3 categories but when I check some other sites (take the case of www.aeldata.com) it is listed in more than 5 categories.

I would like to know what is the maximum number of categories we can list our site.

Due to the nature of the review process, we are unable to estimate the time to review of any given submission. See the FAQ for more details.

You can only submit your site to one category, if editors decide to list it in more than one category they do so at their own discretion. There's nothing you can do yourself to get your site listed in more categories. Submissions to other categories will be deleted as duplicates.
