Submission status of www.wwtsasia.com

Can you tell me the submission status of www.wwtsasia.com in http://www.dmoz.com/Business/International_Business_and_Trade/Services/ ? This site was submitted twice in 2003, the last would have been December.

No change, I'm afraid. This category is horrendously backlogged, so patience is definitely going to be called for. Sorry the news isn't better.

If I changed the category would it speed things up? I can probably find another catetory for the website as it is not really an import/export company. In that catetory there is no one other catetory our page would fit in as we have many different kinds of products and services. If there is another catetory I can go to actually it would be better for me.

Absolutely not!

Submitting to additional categories in hopes of speeding up a listing is simply directory spam, it makes additional work for the volunteer editors, and it slows down everyone's time-to-listing.

It is somewhat akin to the person in the checkout line at the supermarket who sends their kids to stand in the different lines in the hopes that one can get checked out faster. Then dashes, cart in hand, from line to line in hopes of finding a faster cashier.

When you submitted your website you were instructed to submit to the single best category and one can only assume that you did so. You've already resubmitted at least once. Just be patient. If, after you are listed, (assuming you are listed) a case can be made for a different category, then an Update URL request an be made.

And if that doesn't convince you, let me give you the clincher: sometimes, when we end up dealing with multiple submission, we accidentally delete all of the submissions. It happens, and when it does, no one is very happy.

I understand your point, I wasn't trying to wait in different check out lines with multiple submissions. I did not intend to resubmit my site again under a different category, I thought possible the editors could do that, I was obviously wrong. My mistake.

As you instructed I will wait until I am listed and then consider making a catetory change request at that time.

It's been over eight months now since I last submitted a request, can you please tell me the status of my listing? Thank you.

After over eight months this category is still backlogged? I know there are a lot of trade engines out there that may have been submitted to this category, but many of those are used for spam. My site doesn't even have a place for people to post. Thanks!
