submission status request mencorps.com

gimmster

I can't see it waiting there, and it has not been reviewed/deleted/or moved.

If that is the single most appropriate category, feel free to resubmit there.

Hmmn, how odd. Thats the info that was supplied to me.

Oh well, thanks for looking in any case.:)

Seems that Ive been given the wrong information by the people I'm helping. If this is so, is there a way to locate the url in any queued submission list so I can enquire of its location and status?

Thanks again for any help.

In this case, without the category, due to technical limitations, it's not possible to find it.

Oh well, that kinda sucks, can't quite understand why there isnt a little script to query a table somewhere, but if thats how it is, then thats how it is.

Ill resubmit and see what happens.

Thanks for the responses. :)

Hello me again.

In view of the above, and having spoke with the person concerned who insists that they submitted to the cat I outlined above, and having now personally resubmitted myself, I thought that rather than wait another month only to be told it isn't even there/waiting/reviewed/deleted etc and then have to go through this process again in 28 days...(still with me?..;)) Could an editor possibly afford me the courtesy of letting me know if its there and waiting :)...or even better still, there and reviewed <grin>!

TIA

Hi

I realise that policies have changed, but I never did find out if the submission as referenced above was ever 'there' as no one afforded me the courtesy of a reply.

I dont want to leave it 6 months to ask, as Im then another six months down the road still at square one.

Would someone please, please tell me whether the website as submited above is at least waiting in the cat I submitted it to.

many thanks

Rob

As far as I can tell, the your resubmission was deleted because the original was found. The site is now waiting for review in

[cat]Regional/Europe/United_Kingdom/Business_and_Economy/Event_Planning/Weddings/Consultants_and_Coordinators/[/cat]

If you don't see it listed sometime in the next six months, please feel free to return for a status update on or after 24 December.

I'm not sure what's happened. It's no longer awaiting review in that category yet there's no record of any editor having processed it since May 29th 2004 - before the previous status report.

I'd have re-added it there, but the website seems to have changed focus from being a wedding coordinator to a hen night show.

Mencorps seems to be in London and I'd suggest submitting there, but I couldn't find a London bricks and mortar address.

What is your relationship with http://www.dreamboys.co.uk/ ?

Hi Jim

I'd have re-added it there, but the website seems to have changed focus from being a wedding coordinator to a hen night show.

It never was submitted to the wedding co-ordinator section in the first place, it was actually submitted to event planning as that's where I found other hen party entertainment outfits at the time. I was informed in this thread that it had been moved to the section that youve outlined as it was deemed to be more apt for that section. At the time I decided it was best to not complicate things with a why-i-think-it-should-be-put-back-where-it-was type post, so decided to leave it to the editors to decide on best placement.

Basically Mencorps is a brand name for a Luxury hen night party entertainment outfit, who operate UK wide. There is a bricks and mortar address here http://www.mencorps.com/contact_admin.html

As for Dreamboys this brand name caters for a different kind of market within the hen party entertainment sector. They deal with blackpool and a few other coastal resorts too. It caters for a different type of market place, but afaik is owned and managed by Mencorps too.

Ah, that would make them "individual product line domains", and not listable. We'd want to list the main corporate site (and that only.)

Actually they are not individual products. They are individual brands If my prior post created that impression then I do apologise for any confusion caused.

As far as we are concerned, individual product brands are the same as individual product lines, the same answer applies. Sorry.

The domain submitted was mencorps.com, for all intents and purposes it is the corporate domain. The brand caters to the luxury hen night marketplace.

Lets approach this from a different angle.

Is there a single domain that links http://www.hennightsblackpool.co.uk/ and http://www.mencorps.com . If so, what is it?

Too funny. No, none that I am aware of. But I know who it benefits www.ufindus.co.uk ooh look, its owned by the same people who own hennightsblackpool.co.uk, oh and what a surprise it links back to ufindus.co.uk too

Again, the domain in question is mencorps.com.

If that other domain is informing your decision, or if you can show me where mencorps.com is linking to this piece of html then I'd love to know about it.

I dont expect you to believe me, but I really do have no knowledge of that other domain.

A whois for that domain will show you who the owners are ( not mencorps.com) funny to read the contact info too..dreambags lol, they couldn't even get that right.

Look, this really is a lot of old bollocks, if you don't want to list mencorps.com then fine. I'm not going to lose any sleep over it.

At the end of the day I think that the domain itself should be adjudged on the content itself, rather than what I suspect is viewed as some kind of potential bait and switch waiting to happen.I do appreciate how it looks, but Ive decided not waste anymore of my time ( or yours) convincing you otherwise, hell I dont even work for these guys anymore! I was just following up something I started 8 months back!

If the criteria you've used is the reason for declining, then it seems like a great way to attack a competitor. You know? Build a few pieces of crap, put up the same contact info, and report it to the dmoz spam police for removal.
