A submission dated 29/Jan/2004 awaits review by an editor. And please note that just because there is no editor named specifically to that category does not mean that there is no editor - there are several hundred editors who have the ability to review this suggestion. Thanks.

update request on submission

I submitted this site about 6 months ago, and it's still not listed.

The category has no editor, should I try to become one?

The submission has been received and is awaiting review. If you don't see it listed sometime in the next six months, please feel free to return for a status update on or after 20 January.

Although there is no editor listed at the bottom of the category, still many editors can edit in that category. See the FAQ for more details.

You certainly may apply to become an editor, but please remember that becoming an editor solely to list or promote your own sites is a violation of the editing guidelines.

9 months wait?

Sorry, I know I'm supposed to wait, but I've been waiting for 9 months.
I submitted on 29/Jan/2004

This is a really legitimate company that deserves to be listed in dmoz, I'm just wondering if it was denied or just still waiting for review.

I appreciate anyone's time if you look into this for me.

Thanks.

Can someone please check this out?

It's been about a year since I submitted this site, since then, there was a reorganization of the categories, I think it may have been lost.

DMOZ changed the categories around a bit since I submitted, I don't want to resubmit for fear of moving to the bottom of the pile again.

Can someone please contact a senior editor to have them review this site, there's no editor for the specific category.

Or please advise on what to do.

I see no change in status since the last report. Sorry not to have better news. :(

You may ask again in this thread in 6 months.

It has nothing to do with the re-ordering of the directory?

Is it possible that the submission got lost because of the re-ordering of the directory?
The one I submitted to doesn't exist anymore.

I realize you people are volunteers and I appreciate your time, but is there any way anyone can contact a senior editor, or let me know how, or if anyone actually looks at the submissions in that category anymore?
There hasn't been an editor listed on that page for a year.

No, because you just receive a status report sayingthere is no change in status. That precludes it being lost.

You certainly have the right to contact any editor. However, let me set some expectations for you:

-- virtually none of the edirors will undertake an expedited site review as a result of an e-mail.
-- very, very few editors will even reply ot an e-mail from a submitter.
-- more than 200 editors can look at any given category, so the odds of you hitting the right eidtor with an e-mail are minute.

There hasn't been an editor listed on that page for a year.

Irrelevant and is addressed in our FAQ.

In the hopes of further setting your expectations, since review time often exceed two years, and in rare occasions take more than 3 years, your concerns, while understandable, are possibly misplaced. We have confirmed that we have received your submission and that is it waiting for review. Now all you can do is wait. There is really no way to influence the amount of time it takes us to review the submission, short of taking actions that would have a draconian impact on the future possibility of your site being listed.

Hope this helps.

I was hoping someone would check it out, it seems after today, you won't be doing it anymore.
