I submitted my site www.redsky-sailing.com about 5 or 6 weeks ago to http://www.dmoz.com/Recreation/Travel/Specialty_Travel/Boat_Charters/
(at least I think this was the category but I did not make a record!). Please can you advise what is the status. Thank you.

"Awaiting review" means: The suggested site is waiting for an evaluation by an editor, who will decide whether the site will be listed or not. We can't predict when this evaluation will take place, because all editors are volunteers and do this in their spare time.

Just stay patient. Updates on the status of submissions are given only after six months, so you may get one in May.
