i submitted my site to you about 1 to 2 months ago, however i have just given it make over and addded some new content. what i would like to know whether or not you have reviewed it, if you have then what should i do as i have only just added new content which i feel gives it more weight to be listed . ideally would need to reviewed again. the only issue i have is that i cant remember what category i submited it to,however the top category for it is http://dmoz.org/Regional/Europe/United_Kingdom/Business_and_Economy/Motoring/

Nothing. Just go on with other things, and if your site qualifies for a listing , it will eventually be listed. If you feel it might not have qualifed before and might qualify now, resubmit _once_.

So things dont get to confusing then, would you be able to tell which category it was submitted too as i honestly cant remember which one it was too as my site applys to most in the motoring section? it more than likely would have been directories of classifieds i believe

No, that isn't possible. Submissions are stored in categories without global searchability.

Yes, if it has been a year since last submittal, and you have added substantial unique information to the site, resubmittal is reasonable.

how can i find out whether its been reviewed?

You can't. I'd give it six months, and then resubmit.

Rationale -- if it hasn't been reviewed yet, there's no point in resubmitting now.

If it has already been reviewed and rejected for insufficient content (in the last two months) and I see another submittal, I'd likely delete it immediately saying, "duplicate submittal already reviewed.")

But in six months something might have changed, and an editor might well decide to re-review.

I am very very confused about site submission, I have worked on a site which I feel easily qualifies for inclusion in DMOZ but it still has not been added about 4 months after it was submitted and I have no idea why it hasn't been added :(

We have added some great content to the site, its a good useable site but its still not there :(

Had you read the FAQs you'd know that waiting four months is nothing. It can take as long as three years. There's no way to know when an editor will review it.

There are probably about 20 million sites editors haven't reviewed -- and among them are probably several million listable sites that haven't been added. I've often been amazed how effectively editors pick out "likely" sites to review quickly -- but I still think it's indisputable that (1) there is no perfect way to pick out the best sites without reviewing them, and (2) some sites that are listable are overlooked for years.
