Submission to Recreation:Collecting:Stamps categor

Dear Editors,
I have a site http://www.findyourstampsvalue.com - We have more than 3 years of succesful performance of service for our visitors.
During last 2 years I have tried (many times) to submit my site to Recreation: Collecting: Stamps category (and some inner subcategories too) using standard method of DMOZ.com submission.
But this category every time has no an editor to check and submit my site.
Editors, please, I need your assistance to be listed at Open Directory Project.

Believe it or not, but your submission of July 24th, 2001 (!) is still waiting for review in Recreation: Collecting: Stamps. It seems that this section of the directory could use the attention of some more editors ... It all depends on volunteers willing and able to do some good work on the stamp collecting categories.

You are correct, this site has been waiting to be reviewed in Recreation/Collecting/Stamps for a very long time. It's waiting there along with approximately one hundred others. Other submissions to Shopping/Antiques_and_Collectibles/Stamps have been (rightly) deleted earlier this year. Your site seems to be waiting in the appropriate category, please don't try to submit it to others. Is it difficult to be an editor of ODP?
May be I can try to become a volunteer and review this Category to rake away such huge queue.

Volunteers volunteering in their interest areas is the way things get done in a volunteer directory. So to state the obvious, if no one volunteers to edit a category, the category won't be edited.

That area of the directory certainly seems like it could use a knowledgable volunteer. Why not apply to edit http://dmoz.org/Recreation/Collecting/Stamps/Software/ or http://dmoz.org/Recreation/Collecting/Stamps/Postal_Specialties/ and then move on to volunteering to do the larger category after you have become an editor and know the ropes.

Just to make this crystal clear, if a category doesn't have a resident editor (ie. a name at the bottom of the page), that doesn't mean that no one can work there. All of the editors named in categories higher up the tree can edit there, and so can all of the hundreds of editall and meta editors.

So, to state the obvious, if none of the editors with permissions for a specific category feel that they wish to use their volunteer time there, and no one new comes along to volunteer for it, the category won't be edited.
