Submissions to Multiple Categories

There is a company that is similar to mine that is posted in at least 2 different categories of DMOZ, and I'm still trying to get into at least one of those same categories. The company is LagunaParalegal.com and the categories it's listed in includes:

http://dmoz.org/Society/Law/Services/Paralegal_Services/General_Practice/United_States/California/

http://dmoz.org/Society/Law/Services/Paralegal_Services/Family_Law/

Will it hurt me if I submit to multiple categories? The services my company provides can actually fall into several different categories, but I did submit to 2 different ones, after one submission went unanswered.

Any suggestions?

Yes. Submit to the single best category.

Thank you for letting us know about the double listing. With 4 million plus entries sometimes one slips through the cracks. An editor will appropriate permissions will review and take appropriate action.

In the abuse forum, we have a permant thread for just this type of reporting, so if you feel like playing detective.

So its certainly not possible to list under two separate categories?
So a website owner has to compensate with SEO and SEM to get the visibility of his website up in the other categories which is website or business serves right?

Thanks and Regards,

Yes, it is possible to be listed under several categories, but it is the editors who lists sites. The public can suggest a site to one category only.

As for SEO and marketing of websites, that is nothing we are concerned about.
