Hi,

I am trying to submit my sites to related categories but I am always getting an error page.
I fill the requested parts then click the "submit" button, then the page starts to load but it lasts 10-15 minutes, then I get a "Page can not be displayed" message.I tried several times, always same.

I am using IE 6.0.2900 with SP2 installed WinXP.

Please let me know what can I do about this situation, what am I doing wrong?

Thanks for your time.

Best Regards,

Have you tried submitting with a standards-compliant browser?

Sometimes that works: although I think it has more to do with IE settings (notoriously hard to tweak) than with any of the IE bugs themselves. And again I'd guess it's your proxy settings.

But getting a new browser that isn't "integrated with the OS" is sometimes the easiest way to get around that kind of configuration problems on your system.

Firefox is relatively easy to download, even on a dialup line; relatively free of even unrealized potential for serious exploitation issues (what was that this week, the second one this year? If the IE ever has that few FULLY EXPLOITED bugs uncovered in a month, there'll be great rejoicing!)

<added>SP2 made some configuration changes that broke things wholesale -- causing massive loss of time and some loss of data for my employer and many customers. This might be related to that also, but ... the standard advice for debugging any Microsoft product applies: reboot, reinstall, if that doesn't work, then replace with functional software from a reputable source.

Thank you very much for your help hutcheson, unfortunately it didn't solve the problem.
I installed the FireFox browser and resubmit, but the same thing happened.Browser started to load but didn't reply for 10 min.

As a note, I don't have a similar problem with any other site, if this is an important point to name the problem.

Thanks again

Well, if you have tried using multiple browsers, then I think you need to turn your attention to your ISP. I have not seen any other reports of submission issues, so I am thinking it is specific to your situation. Or are you located in a part of the world where such things might be blocked by a government? I know there have recently been some issues with access to the ODP from China, for example.

I live in Turkey and as I know there is no block. There are members from Turkey even in this forum.
And I connect through cable, las ots of people do without a problem.

If this is not a common problem, I guess it is better I try a local forum.

Thanks
