submit subdomains in website

I have heard that subdomains are considered as individual sites... Does this hold for ODP also.

I have n subdomains in my website. All the subdomains are on different themes. website/ domain contains relevent information about pets and the subdomians contains information on different types of pets. All of them have quality content.

Can I submit those subdomains as individual sites.

We don't care whether you someone each of their individual pages on separate national domains. One site is considered one site.

Consider the bit in the submittal policies about "submitting RELATED sites" (whether on the same domain or not) and the bit about the penalties for so doing, to be specifically in answer to your question.

Ok! I will NOT subdomains as new websites. Thanks for stopping me getting penalised.
