Submitted URL but content totally changed before review

I submitted my URL <url removed> but then decided to use the domain name for something different. When the reviewer comes to look it will look like I've suggested the wrong category. I suggested 'hypnotherapy' but the domain is now home to a 'life coaching' website.

Worse still, the content that was previously on the <url removed> domain has now been shifted to a new domain (<urls removed>) which will go live in the next couple of days. I will want to submit the new domain but if a reviewer has already looked at the old one they might think I have submitted the same content twice.

My ideal would be to remove my request for <url removed> to be reviewed for inclusion and start totally afresh. Second choice would be to change the description, etc. for <url removed> to reflect it's new content but that appears to only be possible for websites that have already been indexed.

Any help greatly appreciated. Regards, Paul

Since it's against the forum rules to discuss specific web sites, here are some general comments applicable to your situation:

Editors are not unfamiliar with sites changing direction and needing to be moved -- indeed, a lot of the sites we see are suggested for review in inappropriate catgories to start with. That's OK. If a site is found to be a better fit in another category, the reviewing editor will send it there for review.

However, you could also suggest the site for review a second time, to the category you now think is most relevant, adding a comment [in square brackets] in the description field that the suggestion replaces an earlier review suggestion for a different category. That won't be viewed as spamming.

I am removing the URLs to your sites to remove the temptation to go into specifics.

One other comment: you are concerned that the reviewing editors will think that your new site is the same as your old site -- you should be aware of the fact that the editors look at what is actually on the site, not on the submitted description. (In nearly every case the submitted description is rewritten completely, anyway.) So the descriptions you supplied would not be a reason in themselves to not list one of the sites. Of course, if the sites are found to be related, they probably won't both be listed -- but that is up to the reviewing editor, based on the content of the site.
