Is there any way a company's product website can be listed, or does the parent company website need to be listed in a generic category. I had submitted one product site 2.5 years ago, but it was never DMOZ listed.
My company specializes in unique, niche specialty plastics packaging products. Long ago before I joined the company, IT had set up a global corporate website, and separate product websites.
I have no doubt some of these product websites are of useful value to readers. They can be educational, detailed and there are usually only a few major global suppliers of each product. For example, one site was referenced as a source on Wiki.
I see quite a few small start up companies selling competitive products listed on DMOZ, though they have a weak websites and no market presence. I believe under DMOZ policy, their sites can be listed, but our product websites cannot be, only the corporate one.
Thanks.
Carl
