I would like to know if a few weeks go by and a site is not listed and changes have been made what is the procedure in addressing the matter.

Just suggest it again. If it's to the same category, it'll overwrite the previous one.

If a few weeks go by and a site is not listed, in allprobabiliyt it has not been seen by an editor, ther are a million or so sites waiting for review and fewer than 7,000 active editors.
