Suggesting second category policy

I have a site listed in one category.

However notice that some sites have multiple listings, even for the same root url.

If I suggest another category, for the same site, does it put the existing listing in jeopardy of removal? My apology but I'm not yet clear on this.

The category I want to suggest to does not have a listed editor. And the site has specialized 40+ pages just for this topic.

Some sites are eligible for a Topical listing and also a locality listing (but only if it offers locality specific services).

If the site is multilingual (not machine translated) the same applies to all of its languages.

Appreciate your help.

If I suggest a transfer from one category to another, will the site be at risk for the category it is now in?

- Don't know whether to do this since there is not a category editor for the category I would be suggesting. The category it is now in has an editor.

The two categories are closely related.

Making a suggestion for change on itself never brings a listing in risk.
Also the fact that an editor is listed for a category or not has no effect on a listing or on a suggestion.
If there is a good reason for a move and that reason is confirmed by the website than please make an update suggestion.
For closely related categories a second suggestion to list the site twice is certainly not a good idea.

pvgool,

Dare I ask -- are you an editor by chance?

Is this found at 'update Listing' at the head of that category page?

Under each persons name you can see teh word "Member" and for editors only below that the type of editor is shown.
Under your name will only see "Member" under mine "Member" and "Editall"
JimNoble is not only a member of this forum but also an administrator. That is why under his name you can see "R-Z Administartor" instead of "member" and "Meta" as the type of editor he is at DMOZ.

yes it is.

pvgool,

Thanks for clearing that up.

I'll go ahead and request an update suggestion for category change.
