Suggesting "Umlaut" Domains - Special Character Domains, f.e. ä,ü,ö

Hello everybody,

I kept searching for it, but still not finding for a solution.
How are Domains like <url with ä in it removed> treated?

Should I announce them with, or without special characters?

You can suggest them either or, but - at least in the german section - we try to convert them to the writing without special characters. Maybe the URLs are harder to read or humans this way, but makes many of our tasks a lot easier.
