Three Years Ago , I did manage to get txdovehunt.com listed and ranking. However, My new site TXHUNTS.COM has had very slow progress w/ getting DMOZ listed.

Is the whole dmoz system just over whelmed now, or what?
It worked so well for the last few years....??

No, thank you, we do not feel overwhelmed. :)
Volunteers are still free to spend as much or as little time as they choose on a wide range of activities within the directory.

As the ODP is not a listing service, I'm not sure how you feel you "managed" to "get" your site listed? Perhaps you mean that a volunteer listed the site at some point after you had suggested it for review? The two events may not have been connected at all, because we list many hundreds of thousands of sites which were never suggested by anyone outside the directory.

The "slow progress" of your other site is also a meaningless term, I'm afraid. I gather you have suggested it for review? Well, we appreciate that, and perhaps one day an editor will have a look at it and decide whether or not to list it.
I have not looked at these sites, but I hope you are aware of the ODP guidelines on what sites are suitable for listing, and which ones are not? You will also find the FAQ of this forum of great benefit.

Did you read the guidelines at http://dmoz.org/add.html when you suggested the sites.
Do not submit URLs that contain only the same or similar content as other sites you may have listed in the directory. Sites with overlapping and repetitive content are not helpful to users of the directory. Multiple submissions of the same or related sites may result in the exclusion and/or deletion of those and all affiliated sites.
