I'd just like to give a general thanks to the DMOZ editor(s) who do such a good job with the submissions in the science fiction and fantasy section of DMOZ.

Submissions have been dealt with not simply fairly but also quickly.

All too often I hear complaints about the project, which is why it's so refershing to experience the more positive side.

I figure a lot of editors come under constant fire over their decisions - so there's even more reason for my giving my public thanks.

Well done and the work you people put into such a huge project really are appreciated. :)

It is estimated that some 3000 to 4000 sites are added to the directory daily.

In this forum, we generally hear from about 30 people per day who are not happy that we didn't do what they wanted, representing about 1% I guess. We rarely hear from the other 99%.

I am glad your suggestion was approved. I guess that it was for your own site. If you know of several other sites belonging to other people that have good content, and are not listed yet, then feel free to submit those too.

The site suggestion form is for "people to suggest sites", which is a superset of "webmasters suggesting their own site".

Thanks for the words of encouragement - it makes a nice change from the whiners whose only concern is to get THEIR site listed and, because we don't, the whole directory must be non-functional.

Yes indeed, it's very nice that someone takes the trouble to acknowledge that they were listed.
