The Appropriate Category

It's that time a year again when I submit to the mysterious and wonderous Open Directory.

I was wondering if anybody had any category suggestions for me. My site is mainly an illustration/art site, but I just can't find anybody who will let me into their category. :( (Gratuitous Emoticon). Are some categories easier to get into than others? Do I need more Leprecaun pictures or Velvet Elvis paintings?

Anyway, my website is:

http://www.900foot.com/

Let me know your thoughts.

Thanks,

Cory

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but sites like http://www.900foot.com/ will never be added to any category.

Explanation; at time of review the site would not load and eventually threw a timed out error message.

That's weird? I've tested this site on a variety of browsers and platforms. What are you running?

cthomanx2, what category do you think it should be listed in? (Single best match.)

Thanks for cross checking everyone. I am still getting a "refused connection" error message on Netscape and Firebird. I'll appologise to cthomanx2 and leave it to you guys to help him out.

I'd fix the site so it validates and works well in some of the browsers mentioned here and then submit it to the portfolios category.

You might want to include the notation [revised content] (using square brackets) in the description field. If you or your hosting provider are blocking certain address blocks, you might want to stop that too.

The site is particularly bad in Lynx - see a screenshot. Google reads web pages in a similar way so you may want to consider giving the images better alt="" text and including headings.
