the right category

Hello,

While looking for the most appropriate category for my website <URL removed>
I've noticed that there is more than one suitable category:

- Computers/Internet/E-mail/Free/Web-Based/G/Gmail/
- Computers/Software/Freeware/Internet/E-mail/
- Computers/Software/Internet/Clients/Mail/

I actually submitted to the first two.

Was this a mistake ?
What should I do now ? I read that submissions can take years

My website is 100% unique in the directory.

Yes, but only a very small one which won't have any impact. We are used to people suggesting a site more than once and not to the one best category. When the site is reviewe an editor will decided which category is the one the site will be listed in.

Nothing. That is in relation to DMOZ and your website. The site is suggested and everything else is out of your control.

The submission (which we prefer to call suggestion) technicaly did take only a few minutes (depending on how much time you have spend).
The time between a site being suggested and it being reviewed can vary between a few days and several years. We have no possibility to predict how long this time will be.
The only thing that is important for you to remember is not to suggest the site again. This could make the time between first suggestion and review longer.

That would be very exceptional and we'd have to evaluate the website to answer that, something we don't do on demand.

Some volunteer will process your listing suggestions in time but we can't predict who or when that might be. Elapsed times can range from a few days to a few years. There is no need to re-suggest your website and doing so could be counter-productive because a later suggestion overwrites any earlier one.
