Time between review and decision

I have noticed from my google analytics account that my site was accessed from editors.dmoz.org on 5th Feb 2009. I am making the assumption that this menas that after the advertised long wait an editor has now viewed my site. Shocker! I have checked and the site is not listed on the directory (5th March 09).

Wondering if anybody with experience of these matters would be able to comment on the situation. Is there a chance that the last month has passed while the cogs are still turning and that the listing may still appear; or is the decision process after review more swift than that and i have been rejected.

Thanks for your help.

You can't assume anything from a dmoz.org hit in your logs. It could have been either an editor or a QC robot.

Editors look at websites for all sorts of reasons, not necessarily to do with making list/move/not list decisions.

I often visit a site more than once before I decide to list or not. Some I forward to a more appropriate category. Plus what Jim said.

The question "how long between ANY two volunteer actions" is ALWAYS "I don't know". Each volunteer can work independently, without having to worry about what someone else will do later. All that matters is: what will _I_ do NOW? (For the same reason, nobody else can KNOW what I am doing now, or what I would do later if I weren't distracted.)

If something matters that much to ME, I can try to learn to do it myself (rather that waiting for someone else.) But suppose I try and FAIL to learn to do it? By community standards, I CAN'T do it myself. That's OK....but if I can't do it myself, I'm obviously not qualified to tell someone else to do it. So it would be especially absurd to let my actions force some really-qualified person to abandon his priorities to do mine.
