关于我的网站被收录,然后又被撤消的问题,这是老天的刻意捉弄呢,还是另一次不怀好意的玩笑,这简直就是黑色的幽默 ~~~黑色的幽默还没我这情况这么伤感,失落和郁闷 ~~~
如果选这个论坛的最具悲情色彩的人物~我想非我莫属 ~.废话说了几句.请florawil见谅.

先说一下我本人,我几年前从国内出来留学,到大学毕业.在大洋洲已经生活了将近6年, 我自己是读IT毕业的,做网站是我的个人兴趣. 真的,在澳大利亚,做什么行业都比IT好,我为什么要做网站呢? 我自己也不明白,从最基础的HTML到服务器维护,我样样精通.

关于我的其中一个网站,因为我人在澳大利亚,而且我的网站内容也是跟澳大利亚相关的,所以我把网站提交到澳大利亚栏目,可惜半年过去了,一直没被收录, 因为那个栏目根本没有编辑,而且我也多次申请成为该栏目的编辑.于是我换了目录,把网站提交到留学栏目下,这次还真的被收录了.可惜今天被撤消,撤消的原因我知道,是因为我两个站内容差不多,我也想大家帮忙看看,这两个站到底有多少相同的地方.

因为我的站都是跟留学相关的,所以版面基本相同. 程序也一样,但是论坛内容是完全不同的.大家认真看看就知道了. 我自己付出了多少汗水,我自己了解,我也清楚我自己的实力在哪里,从最基础的HTML到服务器维护,这两年来我没有白白的浪费.因为我一直在努力,虽然不一定有回报.

在澳大利亚,到现在为止,没有一个象样的门户网站,我是说本地哦, 如果象我这个网站无法被DMOZ收录,那么我觉得很可惜. 不过我会一直努力的,只要我人还在澳大利亚,我不会就此放弃,. 最后谢谢看我这贴的人.

当大家去搜索引擎找留学资料的时候,发现排在前面的全是中介的网站, 会有什么感受呢?

我自己想. 办留学,办移民能自己办理,为什么要去找中介呢?

那是因为想出国的人不会办理,没有足够的资料让他们去了解.

希望 florawil 看到能删了. 对于澳洲中文网不能被dmoz收录.感到很遗憾.

i also applied for as volunteer editor for many times but not successful.

if no editors log on to this forum in a week or month, what are you going to do, please?

Do you understand what volunteer means?
All editors are free to do what they want in their time. They can decide not to visit this forum or not to answer any questions. You could ofcourse try to ask the question in English. But be sure it is a question related to DMOZ.

You already have a thread about your editor applications.
If previous applications were not succesfull you will have received an email with (possible) reasons why it was declined.

As a volunteer in DMOZ, this means who expresses a willingness to undertake to provide a free service for adding hundreds, even though thousands of websites into DMOZ's categories, if a volunteer never come to this board, they are absolutely not a good volunteer, aren't they?

You are completely wrong.

DMOZ is not a service to list websites at all.

Rescource-Zone is not a part of DMOZ. It is only run by a few people who happen to be DMOZ editors and are willing to answer certain questions about DMOZ. So answering questions here has nothing to do with being a good volunteer DMOZ editor at all.

Quality issues should be reported in Quality Control Feedback. But please give a good description of what is wrong.

ok, i tell you the whole story, my website was listed in the category about 5 days ago, but someone removed it. i don't know who did that. I am in Australia, my website is written in Chinese, as i know, my website is the biggest website in Australia, and i also would like to be an editor at that category to help you out if no editers that. I know you guys are all busy and you get no pay at all. Again.Thank you for your time.

We have a Chinese version http://report-abuse.dmoz.org/chi_GB2312/ Please give metas+ editors more details about it. As for Quality issues, you could report in Quality Control Feedback. Thanks.

I could understand what you said "they are absolutely not good volunteers". So like you, I hope more and more Chinese editors will be active in the near future. But remember that we are all volunteers, ODP is our hobby, editors are responsible for reviewing submissions to their categories, and list sites according to prescribed editorial guidelines. So they could select, evaluate, describe and organize sites if they feel free.

OK, thanks florawil. I think i am very active in this board in 6 months, my first member account skyaus has been disable. so i could not use that account to log in. i absolutely have no idea what is going on. i did check my site was listed in one category a few days ago and after a few hours, my websie was removed by one of your volunteers. This is just the whole story. And i think i should let you know about that. that's all. Thanks again.
