We have been listing our sites for about 8 months, obviously checking that the categories are correct. Our contents are pretty nice and the company has a very high recognition over the world. It seems that the effort you make is just not worthy.
Anyway I just wish there was a way of letting some one important at ODP know that we appreciate this kind of projects, but we are clients for them...dont ever forget that, there has to be a nice relationship between the project and the webmasters, and if they decide not to list a page or even bann it, they should at least tell you why.
We just hope some day we can get at least one of our webpages listed...someday

Webmasters and site owners are not the clients or customers of the ODP. Nowhere in our documentation does it say that they are. Our users are the people who use the directory to search for information. We welcome suggestions from the public, including webmasters and site owners, for sites to list, but those suggestions is only one source for sites to list, out of many such sources.

Have you read the site suggestion policy at dmoz.org/add.html? (You can't suggest a site without agreeing that you've read it.)

Key parts are:
# Do not submit mirror sites. Mirror sites are sites that contain identical content, but have altogether different URLs.
# Do not submit URLs that contain only the same or similar content as other sites you may have listed in the directory. Sites with overlapping and repetitive content are not helpful to users of the directory. Multiple submissions of the same or related sites may result in the exclusion and/or deletion of those and all affiliated sites.
# Do not disguise your submission and submit the same URL more than once.
[...]
Please only submit a URL to the Open Directory once.

You have not been 'listing' your site, rather you have been spamming the dmoz editors with site suggestion's if you have submitted more than one time. Your site suggestion reaches the most important part of dmoz-the volunteer editors and we thank you for your help in finding sites that 'may' be included but there is not guarantee when a review will take place.

Also, site owners, designers, hosts, and promoters are NOT clients of dmoz or its editors. dmoz does not exist for their benefit, rather the visitors to those sites are the ones we are concerned with. And no we won't ever forget that. That needs to be made very clear.

There has to be a nice relationship between the project and the webmasters, and if they decide not to list a page or even bann it, they should at least tell you why.
There are only two reasons a site hasn't been listed:
  1. If the site is listable and not yet listed, its because a volunteer editor hasn't yet taken an interest in reviewing it.
  2. If its not listable then it doesn't meet the Guidelines for Inclusion and anyone can look at those and see for themselves.
Communicating either of these to a site owner would likely not prove positive or productive.

<add> and what nea said too. <end>
