Too long form processing

I submit editor application form about 5 day's ago. There is was confirmation letter, but after this no reaction.

Waiting for 5 days is not an unusually long time to wait for an application to be reviewed. I think the oldest application that is waiting for review right now is from the middle of April, with the majority being from the beginning of May through to today.

You have to remember that the people reviewing the applications are also volunteers and we do this in our spare time. Reviewing applications can also be very time consuming so we don't get as many done in a day as we would like to. You'll just have to be patient <img src="/images/icons/smile.gif" alt="" />

Yes, your application is still in the queue.

Although in theory many different people could review any particular application, I believe that in practice Meta editors will only do things in subject areas that they actually feel competant and qualified to do so. Your application therefore awaits the right person to review it, rather than being in a queue reviewed in order of application.
