Trying to get listed for a year

My site went live one year ago this month. I've been trying to get listed in Shopping/Clothing/Children's since then without success. I have not been obnoxious with my submittals either. Say once every other month.

Is there a way to check the status of submittal for www.everythingtights.com?

Thank you for your attention.

You only need to submit once.

Further submissions just send your site to the end of the list if an editor views submissions in date order (there are other options).

A second submission might be in order if you suspect that the first got "lost" in the system. Further submissions are NOT necessary.

<added>Now your site has been moved to the correct category, don't submit it again at all. Ask in this thread in a few months time if you see no progress at all.</added>

It was reviewed and evaluated to have been submitted to the incorrect category and as a result was moved. It is currently pending review in dmoz.org/Shopping/Clothing/Undergarments/Socks_and_Hosiery/Children/.

Thanks for the quick reply. One thing I did not state in my original post was that my most recent submittal (point about not needing to submit more than once aside), within the last month or two, was to shopping/clothing/childrens.

The previous 10 months I've been trying to get into Shopping/Clothing/Undergarments/Socks and Hosiery/Children. No luck. It was only recent that I saw that the hosiery category is looking for a volunteer to edit that category. That is why I submitted to clothing/childrens.

Who is reviewing my submittal as you indicate if the children's hosiery category needs an editor?

Thanks,

Mark

No category is without an editor, editors from higher up in the tree have access to edit the lower categories as do editall, meta editors and staff. :)

Well, it's done now, and we aren't going to hunt you down and leave a bloody horse head on your pillow. But that was bad logic and a bad action: it wasted time for all of us, and as a result delayed someone's listing. It is almost certainly guaranteed NOT to speed up your listing.

Did it delay your listing? No, THAT has, so far, most likely been delayed by someone ELSE's spam. But what goes around ...

"bad logic"??? "bad action"??? Come on! Yes, I've submitted 5 times in a year. Yes, I even tried submitting to a different category after four attempts and 10 months. But to come out and point the flame thrower in my direction!? I've been VERY patient over the last 12 months and HAVEN'T SPAMMED you guys.

Your lack of action and lack of communication is what needs to be examined and improved.

I'd be happy to contribute my time to help out. Let me know how. That is a sincere offer. PM me and we can talk.

Otherwise, I'll just continue waiting patiently.

Regards,

Mark

Sir, sending submissions to categories where they don't belong is the ONLY way you can spam us.

Seriously, no reprisals are scheduled. Just don't do it again, OK?

Certainly. Believe me, the last thing I want to do is waste anyone's time or cause problems. I deal with enough of my own in my day job.

Take care and hope not to talk to you soon. ;)
