I’ve been trying to list my site for 6 months in a category that doesn’t have an Editor, is their any chance of getting a listing or not?

The category is:
/Regional/Europe/United_Kingdom/Business_and_Economy/Healthcare/Products_and_Services/Disability/Hearing_and_Listening_Aids/

There are no categories without editors because around 200 of us can edit where ever we choose - and we do.

Some volunteer will process your listing suggestion in time but we can't predict who or when that might be. Elapsed times can range from a few days to a few years. There is no need to re-suggest your website and doing so could be counter-productive because a later suggestion overwrites any earlier one.

Thanks Jim,

I know you guys are probably very busy people, I'm sure you get thousands of requests a day. The quote below did make me smile, I'm not sure why!? I just hope my submission doesn't fall under the few years category!!

Elapsed times can range from a few days to a few years.

There is another category that has no Editor:

http://www.dmoz.org/Science/Technology/Television/Satellite/

I have submitted the site 2 years ago and nothing has changed since then. I have recently resubmitted again and now reading through this forum realised that it ws a very bad thing to do... :(

I have no capacity for being an editor myself and actually volunteering for the sake of getting own site into the category does not sound like a right option.

What is the process to get the site added?

Thanks a lot for any guidance on this issue.

As you've already suggested your site, there's nothing more that you need do.

You're quite right that an application to become an editor for self serving reasons would not be welcome.
