Trying to get listed in another area.

I have a personal chef business that is listed in this area-

Regional: North America: United States: Massachusetts: Regions: Greater Boston: Business and Economy: Services

I am happy with the listing but realized afterward that there is a category for Personal Chefs-

Business: Hospitality: Food Service: Personal Chefs

I have tried both changing the listing, and keeping the current listing and being added to the Personal Chefs area, but with no luck.

Here is the URL- www.afreshendeavor.com

Could someone let me know the status of this?

Thank you,

I believe what needs to happen here (if it isn't happening already) is that, since very few personal chefs make intercontinental or even international house calls, individual practitioner websites are of inherently and exclusively local interest: the category therefore needs to be broken down into regional categories or (like Real estate agents) totally disbanded to regional.

If this doesn't happen, your site is queued with the other several hundred submittals and will be reviewed in the normal course of events. But my guess is that anyone who set out to tackle those unrevieweds would start with a reorg along regional lines.

Hutcheson:

Thank you for your response.

I think you are right, the best way to handle this is to have Personal Chefs categories by region. Until this happens I still would like to be listed in the Personal Chefs Category, because I believe searchers would look in this area first.

Should I just submit again and wait?

No need to submit again, your site is currently in the unreviewed queue, so a second submission isn't required.

The solution hutcheson mentioned appears, at first glance, to be the only appropriate thing to do. Because it does seem pretty clear what should be done, this is the type of change that might well be discussed and implemented a little more quickly.

I understand the desire to be listed until the Business/ category is disbanded/modified, but publishing more sites there would simply compound the issue.

Oh yeah, thank you for being so polite and civil, I guess it is a quality that serves you well in your job, which I think is a very cool career indeed!
