Hello,

Just thought I would toss this note into the appropriate forum.

http://www.dmoz.org/Computers/Companies/Software_Development/ Does not have any Editors assigned, nor is their an option to apply for this category.

http://www.dmoz.org/public/apply?cat=Computers/Companies/Software_Development the message when going directly to the application page for the above url is
Editor application is disabled for this category.
.

Last update to this category: Last update: Thursday, September 3, 2009 11:53:44 AM EDT

There are some pretty shady looking sites in that cat as well, but not mentioning names. I will leave that up to other people to report as it would be a conflict of interest if I did.

The editor application form recommends that you choose a starting category of 100 listings or fewer but, with 351 listings, Computers/Companies/Software_Development is much larger than that.

The last updated date may well be an instance of a known bug which is on AOL's list for attention.

If you have complaints about current listings, please follow the procedures as you've already been asked. Vagueness, for whatever reason, isn't helpful. Specific information is.

The last updated date has changed since the last time i personally indexed your site in 2007, however not much has been done.

As for the update being a bug that is on AOL's list for attention. Simple code to get the files date/time stamp can be found anywhere on the net for free.

How simple the fix may or may not be will only matter when AOL reaches that bug in their "to do" list.

I am starting the get the impression their engineers work at a slower pace than their AOL Online software on a 300 baud modem.

It's not like we are happy with the pace of AOL handling current problems, but there is simply nothing we can do about it.
And since further complaining on this forum, which is completely and only driven by volunteer editors, will not change anything as well, I suggest to stop doping so.
