I am the webmaster of www.forceresearch.com , a leading market research and consulting firm with offices and affiliates in China, Korea, Singapore and Malaysia. Our website is currently listed under:

http://dmoz.org/Regional/Asia/China/Business_and_Economy/Advertising_and_Marketing/

Due to the rapid expansion of our international business and our business scope has moved to international market, it will be more appropriate to change to international category under:

http://dmoz.org/Business/Marketing_and_Advertising/Market_Research/

We have constantly updated our website content in order to be more international focused. Update listing request (change catergory) was submitted to DMOZ for more than 6 months by now but so far there is still no progress, particularly under the circumstance where this market research category has no responsible editor. Appreciate anyone who can help us to solve this. Thank you in advance.

This has no bearing on a site's review status. There are hundreds of editors in higher categories that have access.

Remember that updates are up to the reviewing editor's discretion and there is no guarantee that the description and/or placement of your site will be changed when the update request is processed.

In your case, since you have repeatedly spammed the directory your update will probably go unnoticed and your site will probably be removed. I suggest that you not submit any more spam and read the submission guidelines located at http://dmoz.org/add.html

Dear William: First of all, thank you very much for your kind reminder. I was not aware of submitting update listing (more than once indeed) will be considering as spam and I will make sure this won’t happen again in the future. BTW, could you suggest the best solution to change the category?

We have no idea when it's going to be reviewed, but likely it will be reviewed at some point. Meanwhile, your site will also remain listed in the Regional category. This is not unusual: listings in both [cat]Regional/[/cat] and [cat]Business[/cat] are not uncommon.

There's nothing else you need to do now but wait for someone to review your site in the Business category. If you don't see it listed sometime in the next six months, please feel free to return for a status update on or after 18 March.
