I was checking if my website is listed and it is. But there is a notice that the website stopped functioning in 2004. This is not true. The only reason I was checking the listing is that I wanted to submit the site because I have a new design and am updating the site. I tried several times to update but I always get an error message that the url cannot be found. But when I search on the Dmoz, I get the url and the description of my site and the link works. It gets you to the new design. I want to get rid of the message that the site is no longer active. How can I go about this?

Notice where? We don't addd such notices in public places. We delist dysfunctional websites (after a grace period). Once delisted, a site can't be browsed from our directory or found in our search (the latter can lag actuality by a few weeks though).

Sometimes a site that only works in some browsers will remain listed with an added [May not work in all browsers] tag. Is that what you're referring to?

Where you looking at some other directory than dmoz.org ?

I have found that the website you refer to is indeed listed in ODP with a description saying that it was not publishing new content, but that the archives was still useful. If you want to suggest an updated description you can do so by using the "update listing" link on top of the category page. It works, I have tested. (You need to fill in the captcha-text correct).

It worked this time. Thanks. I have added the change that I require and hope the editor can update it.

The website is listed on DMOZ. I have been able to update this time and wait for approval.
