Updating hawaii-aloha.com

Does anyone know if it's still possible to get a listing Updated and moved to a new catagory? I have tried 3 times to UPDATE in the upper right hand corner, being very careful to follow all the UPDATE instructions exactly, paying special attention to make sure I was suggesting the update in the right catagory. The site doesn't get updated. I am trying to move my site from Internet Services to Travel. Anyone have any info

Re: Updating URL

I may not be understanding your question, but the process is not automatic. By that I mean, any URL Update requests that you successfully submit still have to be reviewed by a human editor. The requested changes do not take place immediately.

Update requests site in the same pool with newly submitted site suggestions. Granted, most editors try and handle these first, but that is an editor-specific decision. Thus, update requests can take anywhere from a minute to more than a year to be considered (and there is no guarantee that the reviewing editor will agree to the proposed change).

Hope this helps.

My question is how can I get it updated. Have been trying several times to get http://www.hawaii-aloha.com moved to the correct catagory, not having any luck with submitting it using the update. It needs to move from: Regional > North America > United States > Hawaii > Business and Economy > Internet
to:Regional: North America: United States: Hawaii: Travel and Tourism: Travel Services: Travel Agents

Are you saying the "Update URL" request doesn't say something like "Thank you for your suggestion. It will be reviewed by an editor bla bla bla", but instead says something like "Error 34565634456; invalid furblitz in deprotocolization state; you need to defritz the evidentiary dislinkerator before resubmitting?"

Because otherwise, the answer is as you have been told.

You cannot "get" the site moved, any more than you can "get" it listed. All you can do is request that an editor re-review it, giving reasons why you think it should be listed elsewhere. Agreeing with you, and acting on that agreement, is strictly at the editor's discretion. (That is, it may not happen at all ever, and if it happens, it may be exactly what you expected; whatever happens, it may not happen quickly. Those are inherent limitations of the ODP volunteer organizations -- for all sites, not just yours.)
