Our site has been transitioned to ebay.in from earlier Baazee.com. The company <company deleted> has been bought over by <company deleted> and our new URL is <url deleted> . The site identity is still <description deleted>

Request you to pl update the URl and site name to <URL deleted> from <URL deleted> and let us know

The Category URL where our site is listed is <category deleted>

Our site is also listed in this Category:
<category deleted>

Our old URL of <section deleted> listed there is - <URL deleted>
which has no page online now.
Please update this URL with the corresponding new URL
- <URL deleted>

Looking forward to a prompt reply.

Here you go! :D

Request you to pl update the URl and site name to...

that is not how it works, go to the category where the site is presently listed and follow the Update URL link. That will initiate a change request, which will be handed by an available editor at their convenience.

Please update this URL with the corresponding new URL....

The above advice applies to this as well.

An additional piece of advice to make the transition go smoother. Be sure that the old URLs point to hte new URL. You can do this with a simple banner announcement on the page, or by putting on a redirect. Your choice, but if we get an update request to change the URL, and there is nothing on the site that indicates that this is what the site onwer wants, we tend to discard the updte request (after all anyone can submit a request, only the owner can add a banner or put in a redirect).

If you follow the instructions, the editor will make such changes as seem appropriate (which may, of course, not be exactly what you ask for.)

It is, however, extremely unlikely that the editor would take the risk of contacting you after the review. If a change is made, it is merely unnecessary and against ODP semi-official policy; if no change is made, it's also dangerous.
