I just tried it with and without the "?discount" and I got identical pages. A reviewing editor would simply strip it off before listing it.

Thats the problem.. If you strip it off, thats not my site. How do I get the "/?discount" included?

If you're saying that www.ld.net/ and www.ld.net/?discount are seperate sites, then you can't get the '?discount' version listed as it is an exact copy of ld.net. We don't list mirror or affiliate sites in the ODP.

From the directory point of view, it's not your site even if you leave it on. It's not about you, and it's not by you. It's by Cognigen, and it's about Cognigen-supplied services.

They're just using your sport jacket to smuggle their skunk into our wine-tasting party. You can have it back when they're done, but you'll never be invited to a party again.

Yeah, everyone please note for future reference, that this is a common (and getting more prevalent) method of affiliate tracking. If you see any URLs like this, they are invariably affilate URLs.

Cognigen is a strange setup, isn't it. If you start at the cognigen.com page (which redirects to http://cognigen.net/corporate/?foundersclubagent ) and click on products and services, you end up at http://ld.net/?butler28; on the other hand, if you strip the affiliate tag off the redirect above (to have http://cognigen.net/corporate/ ), the links to products and services go to http://ld.net/?cognigen . Then, if you strip the affiliate tags off the ld.net URL, all links take you to http://ld.net/?rnuval.

Motsa, I tried that yesterday and today again, and I got a different agent each time. Strange setup indeed.
