Hi,

Can someone help please.
Our website has been listed in dmoz for over 6 years, only now is it causing us a few problems because the listing is without the www. and maybe giving us a duplication penalty in google.

I have submitted the site to be changed but there does not seem to be an editor.

How long does it normally take for someone to look at listings to be updated please?
Could someone look at this for us please if possible

Thank you.

Wayne Cadman.

It takes as long as it takes -- minutes or years. The hypothetical problem which you describe is not something that would concern us even if it actually occurred (which I see no reason to believe.)

All such issues are best addressed with your own webmaster, using such redirection as seems most appropriate to you. And, of course, note that HTTP code 301 redirection will be automatically picked up by our robot, and we automatically update to the canonical URL.

Requesting expedited reviews is abuse of the forum: just don't.

Thank you for your reply Hutchison.

I am a webmaster and a coder, we have all the 301 redirects in place but for some reason this has not updated in the google directory and yes the url does go to the www, but it is still incorrect in the ODP, i know i didnt submit it that way.

I guess i shall have to wait.

We run the robot at irregular intervals, "every few months." The robot should pick the 301 the next time around.
